The legend says that one day, truth and lie crossed paths:

  • Good morning.
    Said the lie.
  • Good morning.
    Answered the truth.
  • Beautiful day.
    Said the lie.
Then the truth looked out to see if it was true. It was.
  • Beautiful day.
    Said the truth.
  • Even more beautiful is the lake.
    Said the lie.
Then the truth looked toward the lake and saw that the lie was telling the truth, so she nodded.
The lie ran to the water and said:
  • The water is even more beautiful. Let's swim.
The truth touched the water with her fingers, and it was indeed beautiful, so she trusted the lie.
They both took off their clothes and swam peacefully.
After a while, the lie emerged, dressed in the truth's clothes, and left.
The truth, unable to dress in the lie's clothes, began to walk without any clothes, and everyone was horrified to see her.
This is how, even today, people prefer to accept the lie disguised as the truth rather than the truth in its naked form.
